This song is sung by Ruth as she struggles with being worthy to receive the forgiveness Jesus has just given to her. Mary Magdalene, a follower of Jesus, encourages Ruth to let the past go and live in the grace and mercy that Jesus freely offers.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is this show about?
All Things New, now through April 15, is an original Easter production that focuses on Jesus’ relationships with Matthew (Disciple), Nicodemus (Pharisee), and a broken and lost woman named Ruth. As we follow Jesus’ journey and ministry we witness the transformation of these three characters as they behold Jesus as a friend, healer, teacher, and Savior. We see through the eyes of three very different individuals how Jesus meets everyone where they are and makes all things new in their lives. It is an evangelical story with modern language that focuses on the redemptive power of Jesus Christ and how it is still relevant and real today.

Is there music as in years past?
Yes, and this year it features all new, original music written specifically for the show by Mark David Williams and Cory Wong. You can expect big Choral songs and beautiful, intimate, character driven songs.

We are very excited about all of the new music and the beautifully revised script. There are more female characters and there is more singing than last year. It will feel like a new show with new music and new characters!

No, there is not. This show does recognize the spiritual battle raging at this particular time in history, but does not portray it.
