The Alleluia Chorus: "The Secret of My Success"

Friday, May 11, 7–8pm, Arden Hills Great Hall. FREE!

This year’s performance of “The Secret of My Success” will feature the Psalter Singers along with guests, Tim and Marla Urban. This musical is free but come early for dessert at 6pm ($3).


Youth Choirs

These choirs provide children with an opportunity to have exposure to music by singing sacred, contemporary and classical anthems, learning basic music theory concepts, playing instruments, and incorporating hand movements and motions to the music. The youth choir rehearsals are at the Arden Hills Campus.

Choirs Directors

Ruth Johnson

Director of Grace Notes and Sonbeam Choirs.

Ruth Johnson has taught music in public and private schools and directed children's choirs/files/images/staff/Johnson,-Ruth.jpg in several churches.  She currently teaches at North Heights' Worship Him Music Academy. Her training includes a B.S. degree in Music Education from the University of Minnesota as well as Musikgarten and Godly Play certification.  Her background includes working in churches most of her life and ministering vocally and instrumentally in them as well as in several parts of the United States and Canada.  She enjoys gardening, writing, photography, proofreading, bike riding and volunteering as a Community Leader on the Health & Wellness Channel at iVillage.com.  She and her sister share their home with their three cats.

Betty Falk

Betty Falk has a B.A. in Vocal Music Education (grades K-12) and is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College.  Her husband, Brian, accompanies the choirs and is also a graduate of Gustavus with a B.A. in Church Music. They have been working as a team to bring Christian Vocal Music Education to children for almost 30 years.  Betty and Brian are the parents of six children and also have two grandchildren. They like spending time with their family and being involved in their children's extra-curricular activities.

Leah Williams

Leah is a graduate of North Central University and has a Masters Degree in Education. She has worked for several years as a teacher and Creative Writing/Movement specialist in the Minneapolis Public School district. Leah has been a soloist in many productions at North Heights and also works at North Heights Lutheran Church as part of the Productions Team. She has a strong choral and drama background and thoroughly enjoys working with the high school students who are part of New Heights. Leah is married to Mark David Williams, Director of Music at North Heights, and they have five-year-old twins.
