Your first step is to contact Nancy in the Marriage Office at 651-797-7874 or to discuss the requirements of getting married at North Heights.
We seek to assist engaged couples in planning for their wedding day as well as preparing them for the lifelong commitment of marriage.
If you desire to have a guest pastor participate in your wedding ceremony, please discuss this when you first talk with the wedding scheduler. The guest pastor has to be PRE-APPROVED by the North Heights Pastoral team and be licensed by the State of Minnesota.
The Wedding Coordinator will be assigned to you in the contract you receive. You must contact your wedding coordinator three to four months before you are married to help assist you not only with your general plans and preparation, but is also present the day of your wedding and often at the rehearsal. Decisions regarding your wedding should be made in consultation with the Wedding Coordinator.
Weddings may be scheduled any day of the week with the exception of the following holidays: New Year's Day, Labor Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve.
For each wedding, the Sanctuary or Chapel and two dressing rooms are reserved from four hours before and two hours after the scheduled wedding time.
Receptions may be scheduled at either location. Receptions will generally not be scheduled following a 7pm wedding. A reception will be scheduled for four hours from the start of the wedding ceremony (i.e., for an 11am wedding, the reception time is from the end of the service until 3 pm) Receptions at Roseville will be in the Community Center Dining Room and receptions at Arden Hills will be in the Great Hall.
Due to extensive facilities usage, weddings will be performed only for those who are members of North Heights, those who have attended membership classes and have been a member for over six month, or whose parents are members.
Once you have talked to the Marriage Office, you will start the reservation process in which you will have five weeks to complete:
The Community Center Dining Room will serve 200 people in a sit-down meal. Overflow seating for 100 can be set up in the Multipurpose Room.
The Great Hall will serve 500 people in a sit-down meal. The Great Hall can be divided into smaller sections to accommodate various sized groups.
Please contact the Wedding Coordinator two weeks before the wedding to discuss table arrangement, number of guests to be seated, and number to be seated at the bridal table.
Because of fire codes, no open-flame candles are allowed at the reception. North Heights has candles available that meet the fire code. They are available through the food service director.
Note: The use of alcoholic beverage and smoking is prohibited within the church facilities. Alcohol is also prohibited on the church grounds. Smoking is allowed outside the church facilities.
It is a special privilege to be participating with you in the very exciting time in your lives.
