NeHi Preschool and Childcare

Our purpose is to provide parents with a quality preschool and childcare center with the Lord as our head, focusing on the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical needs of children. Christian character-building and preparation for future education are our main goals. Our intent is to base the center on biblical principles and to instruct children in the knowledge and love of the Lord Jesus and his Word, solid values, and enjoyment in learning and interacting. As an overall part of our program, we seek to acquaint the children with the world around them through a variety of stimulating learning experiences and material with time to play and develop social skills.

Curriculum

NeHi has developed its own unique curriculum consisting of a preschool with pre-academics and social skills interwoven with a biblical and Christian character-building focus.

Staff

Great staff! Nurturing, responsive, supportive teachers see each child as uniquely created, deserving of love and tender care. Our staff uses guidance techniques intended to develop age-appropriate skills and behaviors. The ratio of one adult per ten or less children is strictly followed and children are closely observed. Teachers are qualified according to the State of Minnesota standards, well-trained, enjoy working with children, and love the Lord.

Doreen Knudson has worked with the North Heights Christian Academy as their librarian for over 19 years. One of her strengths is sharing children's literature with kids from ages 2-12 years of age. Familiar with a wide range of children's books, the best will be chosen to read during story time. I guarantee your family will come away with new favorites to share at home.
